Artist's statement

The Bible says that the God, based on his own image, uses clay to create the first man – Adam. I don’t know whether this process incurs the firing of clay. If yes, I guess porcelain’s fine texture, white colour and sensitivity to marks should be the first priority for man-making; I am always fascinated by other people’s body and, in particular, the feeling of touching the warm and firm flesh of people, which is so intimate and real. I hope that my recent works on human body would bring audience a sense of touching others or being touched by others.
